Altar of Heaven is part of of the Temple of heaven,or T'ien T'an ,built Ming dynasty in Beijing,China. It is located in the outer city section of Beijing in T'ien T'an park.Begun in 1420,it was restored in 1890.It is a circular,three-tiered structure that actually drew its inspiration from descriptions of architectural styles predating the Han.Its red walls and gold detailing, is typical of the architecture of the Ming dynasty.
